What are the dates of the "For Scholars Only - Speaker Incubator?

November 10-13th. We start at 12 pm EST for General Admission and 11 am EST VIP Admission. If you are not available during the scheduled time, GA replays will be available for 24 hours for VIP and Elite.

What happens at the Speaker's Incubator, and why do I have to attend?

This is not a pay-to-play program. We assure the students and the schools that we have vetted every single speaker. The incubator is our opportunity to spend 4 days with you to hear you speak, understand your content and story, and determine if you are a good fit. The INCUBATOR IS OUR AUDITION PROCESS! In addition, we are not a traditional speaker's bureau or booking agency. We do a lot more than just book you on a college stage. We are a complete business management firm for speakers. During the incubator, we are making sure that your business is set up appropriately and also setting you up and evaluating whether there is additional revenue that we can offer you. Some examples might be grants and government contracts. We are doing actual work during the incubator. Every single person who walks away from the Incubator will be 10 steps ahead in their speaking career!

Is this just another speaker's training program? I am already experienced as a speaker. I don't need training.

NO, THIS IS NOT ANOTHER SPEAKER'S TRAINING PROGRAM! IF YOU ARE CHOSEN FOR OUR TOUR. YOU WILL BE GUARANTEED TO BE ON STAGE! Eighty percent of our speakers and already professionals, TEDx speakers, and are paid high dollars for their work. While we do provide training around the finances and business. Even the most advanced speakers still need insight into the business logistics of what will be happening during our relationship over the next year. This is not an attempt to introduce you to another program that will teach you how to speak.

Now that this is clear, if you are new, that doesn't mean you should not attend. First 20% of our speakers are new and amazing, so you still may qualify for the Ivy League. If you feel like you are new to speaking and would like to train to be a speaker first, let us know during the incubator, and we will support you in a different way to tailor your speaking that is separate from the Ivy League event.

Can you still work with me if I am new or need more training?

Yes, the best program for you is Speaker's Bootcamp. It is designed for early-stage speakers who want a little more training before hitting the big stage.

Will speakers be paid for the tour?

Once the school selects you as a speaker on their campus, yes, the speakers will be paid. You can set your own fees. You will be able to negotiate this with the schools. There is some benefit in not charging for some keynotes. You can discuss those with our team

Does this opportunity require an investment?

Yes, this opportunity requires an investment. We only endorse speakers that we have worked with as clients. There is a lot of risk and work that goes into placing our speakers for Ivy League and University stages. We need to be able to ensure that the chosen 20 are not only qualified, but fully prepared. We can prepare you as a client, but this requires our time and intellectual property as well. This opportunity is valued at over $65,000, but because the UNIVERSITIES ARE LOOKING FOR SPEAKERS RIGHT NOW with urgency, you may be able to maximize on the opportunity and not have to invest $65,000. There is, however, an investment. If we can see during your application process that you would be valuable for the tour, we may be able to help you with a partial scholarship, payment plan, and financing. If you are selected for the tour, WE WILL DO EVERYTHING THAT WE CAN TO MAKE IT AFFORDABLE FOR YOU AND TO ASSIST YOU WITH SCHOLARSHIPS. BUT YOUR FIRST STEP IS THAT YOU HAVE TO APPLY SO THAT WE CAN SUPPORT YOU IN WHATEVER METHOD YOU NEED!

Can I participate in both Speaker's Pro & Speaker's Ivy League?

Yes, but only if you qualify. Many speakers do both so that they can have the opportunity to be paid to speak in addition to becoming a Scholar on an Ivy League stage. If you are interested in both options, you can talk to us about this during your interview.

Are all of the Ivy League showcases paid?

No, many of the Ivy League showcases are not paid. This is because most Ivy League schools know the value of a speaker being selected to speak on their campus. This would be an example of an opportunity where the pay is less important, because becoming an Ivy League scholar could change the tone of your speaking career forever.

Will I perform on a college stage by joining Speaker's Bootcamp?

No, Speaker's Bootcamp focuses on training and preparing only. Speaker's Pro & Speaker's Ivy League will put you on a college stage. The great thing about Speaker's Bootcamp is that it reserves a spot for you on Speaker's Pro or Speaker Ivy League, which are very competitive and, in most cases, unavailable. You can upgrade from Speaker's Bootcamp to one of the other two programs at any time during your 12-month Bootcamp.

What type of pay can a speaker expect?

If you are selected by a school to keynote, pay could range from $1,000 to $10,000, depending on the type of artists / speaker you are. Lecturers and unique experiences are normally paid the most. Next are musicians and comedians, then spoken word artists, then novelty entertainers. In addition to these fees, you may be able to charge travel expenses. Furthermore, after being branded as an Ivy League Scholar, many speakers charge 5x their normal rates moving forward. Ultimately, you can set your own fees so that they are competitive and negotiate the remaining details with the college.

What are some great topics to keynote about?

The world is changing, so every year we get speakers who bring topics that we have not even thought about to the stage. We don't want to limit you by putting you into a box. Some topics that have had success in the past include: leadership and diversity (yes, diversity is still being discussed despite the Supreme Court decision), Title 9, sex on campus, women empowerment, career and professional planning, financial literacy, resilience, spirituality, coping mechanisms, and sex education.

What types of speakers and artists can apply?

We primarily select speakers that are versed in keynoting, lecturing, work-shopping, and training; however, we do accept a few spoken word artists, comedians, musicians, and novelty entertainers. We are always looking for something new and unusual, so if you have a unique act, we suggest that you apply.

What does first-come, first-served based on talent mean?

We have a deadline set by the school and our partner platforms to select our speakers for the tour. We are only looking for 20 speakers. We are interviewing at least 25 people per day. Once we find our first 20 speakers who are powerhouses and talented, and will capture the students' interest, we will be closing our application process. That could mean that our application process is only open for a few days, so we recommend that you apply NOW!

What are the dates of the tour?

Our tour season normally includes the months October, November, December, February, March, and April. Upcoming dates include Sept 30, October 2, October 22-24, October 28-30, November 4-6, November 11, November 12-14, November 19-21, Feb 12-16, March 31, April 2, and June 7th. We are adding additional tour stops every day! These are subject to change up until the date of the event unless a contract is secured.

Do I have to participate in all stops?

No, you do not. You may be on 1 stop or all. You may also be on the stops that are closest to you or travel all over the world. There is flexibility! Most speakers are on a couple stops of the tour.

What are the locations of the tour stops?

We are adding new tour stops every day! The first confirmed stops include Winston Salem, NC, Hartfort CT, Fort Wayne, IN, Spokane Washington, St. Paul, MN, Houston, TX, Lincolnshire, IL, Orlando, FL, New York, NY, and Ottawa, Canada. There will be additional stops added as well. These are subject to change up until the date of the event unless a contract is secured.

Is the tour virtual or in person?

Both! Some schools and conferences prefer live. Some prefer virtual. You may choose to only participate in virtual opportunities if that is your preference.

Why is there a $99 Fee?

This $99 is set because we have 1000s of people indicating that they want to apply and interview, but only a few of them are really serious. The $99 is to ensure that you show up on time for your interview and that you are a serious candidate for participation on this tour. This is the first determining factor of elimination so that we do not have 1000s of people setting interviews and wasting time. You may also apply your $99 to other items you purchase with us. f you are not offered one of our speaker's options and you have fully participated and attended the incubator and interview, and completed assignments, you may request a refund of the $99 at the interview.

Do you have payment plans?

Yes, we do have payment plans & finance options for the program fees. There is no payment plan for the $99. If you are selected as a speaker you will be able to discuss payment plans and finance options during your interview. In some cases you may be able to get started with zero (0) down.
